Plot Transitions

What’s the best way to transition from one piece of action to another? One technique that works for me, it so connect via time or place, as in this switch between Chapter 28 (Hanover’s keynote) and Chapter 29 (Claudine in Croatia):

Claudine Le Beau checks the time: 10:15. At this very moment, Michael is delivering his keynote in Frankfurt and shaking up the wealthy bankers. By the time he’s finished they’ll have trouble sleeping. Some might take their own lives, like they did in droves during the global financial crisis in 2008.

In this way there is no awkward reading and no disjointed plot. Enjoy!
